John Cboins began his professional career in ‘95 working with DC/Vertigo for a brief period before discovering the video game industry. After more than 10 years as a character and environment modeler and lead artist for numerous game companies including, Edios, NCSoft, Infogrames, UbiSoft and his own company, Professor Fog’s Workshop, he had the pleasure to illustrate a novel for young readers from Actionopolis titled Prototype, written by Alan Grant.
Since then it has been a balance between creating 3D for video games and illustrating as much as possible.
His works in comics and illustration includes the recently finished 4 issue mini-series Graveslinger from Shadowline/Image with writers Shannon Eric Denton and Jeff Mariotte, variant covers for the Big City Comics lineup, several childern’s book including Shipwrecked! Swiss Family Robinson Tales and The Fox and the Grapes from Magic Wagon.
Upcoming projects include Frank Frazetta’s Freedom from Image Comics/Frazetta Comics, new work for the Graveslinger TPB and a short western story titled The Bounty Killers written by Steven Grant for Outlaw Territory from Image Comics.
